Pisarna Manga | Instant Raw Mango Pickle
Pisarna Manga/ Mangai Kari is an instant raw mango pickle that is easy to make using very few ingredients. The instant raw mango pickle goes well with dals, parathas, rice and just about anything that needs an accompaniment.
Ingredients of Pisarna Manga | Instant Raw Mango Pickle
- 1 green raw mango
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon halved fenugreek seeds (methi kuria)
- 1/2 teaspoon haved mustard seeds (rai kuria)
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- salt to taste

Cut the mango into small pieces along with the skin. Combine all the ingredients including the raw mango pieces in a bowl. Stir well until all the ingredients are well combined.Store the Pisarna Manga | Instant Raw Mango Pickle in the refrigerator and use as and when required.
Tips
- You can also use whole mustard seeds, crackle them in oil and add it to the pickle mixture. This is the way traditional south indians make the pickle and called it Pisarna Manga.
- Gingely oil/Sesame oil or Mustard oil can be used for better taste.
